In Lincoln County, the Employment Security Commission hosts the JobLink Career Center

  • Employment Security Commission
    Job search (self-directed and assisted), job-seeking skills development, resume preparation, career assessment, job placement assistance, unemployment benefits, vocational counseling, NAFTA/TAA benefits and labor market information.
  • Division of Vocation Rehabilitation
    Job evaluation and job training services plus equipment and medical assistance for job-seekers with physical and/or mental disabilities.
  • Gaston College
    College academics and vocational programs, GED testing and preparation classes, high school completion, adult basic education, Human Resources development specialized classes for seeing and gaining employment and financial aid.
  • I-Care, Inc. –Workforce Investment Act for Youth, LEAP Youth Center, GED instruction, weatherization through HARRP, Community Service Block Grant, Head Start.
  • SSA/Winston Salem Urban League - Training and employment opportunities for lower-income older Americans leading to unsubsidized employment and economic self-sufficiency.
