LifeLong Learning Campaign

The Centralina Workforce Development Board hasconvened leaders from Anson, Cabarrus, Iredell, Lincoln, Rowan, Stanly, and Union in all sectors - K-12 education, workforce and economic development, higher education, community-based service providers – to find how we can best prepare our neighbors for the challenges of a 21 century economy.  The result of this effort was a plan that not only can guide us to ensuring economic prosperity for our neighbors and children, but also has already started to make new connections among our organizations.

Please take the time and read the LifeLong Learning Campaign Plan for the region.  We encourage those who would like to get involved to please do.  The Board also challenges you to take part in the plan, to adopt two of the strategies and to ask at least 3 other community leaders to read the plan.  Are you up to the challenge?

State of the Workforce Report 2005
The State of the Workforce Report 2005 identifies key issues for the region's workforce. Quality human resources have always been an important component to a region's economic success. In this fast-changing, global, technology-driven economy, workforce issues must be an integral part of the debate about how to position the region for sustainable economic growth. Regional economic development cannot succeed without a stronger emphasis on and strategic investment in workforce development.
